Your favorite piece of furniture…
We all have a favorite piece of furniture. Maybe it’s something passed down from a relative or a special find on the side of the road. Maybe it’s your first investment piece. I have several contenders: the Eames molded chair (below) that I use in my logo or our dining room table that we’ve had for 18 years and around which we’ve spent many family meals. But my all time favorite is the Japanese tansu my husband bought me many years ago. I had always wanted one and I treasure it.
Furniture is first and foremost functional, but it is also sentimental. My goal at LCDmodern is to fill the store with pieces that will last a lifetime and can be handed down for generations to come. So, I’m curious, what is your favorite piece of furniture and why?
